Invite someone to create a workspace

Platform administrators can invite a new owner to choose their own workspace details. Open Account > Tenant portal > Invite a workspace owner. Enter the recipient's name and email, then select Email workspace invitation.

No workspace is created when you send the invitation. The email service's acceptance means it accepted the message for sending; it does not confirm inbox delivery. The portal lists invitation status and delivery outcome. Use Send again if delivery failed or the link expired. Resending invalidates the previous link. Revoke cancels a pending invitation after confirmation.

What the recipient does

  1. Open the single-use email link within 24 hours.
  2. Choose a workspace name and address, an optional alternative username, and a password. The invited email becomes the verified sign-in and recovery email.
  3. Set up an authenticator and save the recovery codes. Workspace APIs remain unavailable until MFA is complete.
  4. Open the workspace and follow Getting started to connect a scoped discovery source. Add a passkey from Account & security for easier subsequent sign-in.

Sign in using the invited email; there is no need to remember the workspace address. The current identity model permits one verified account per email. Invite a different email for a separate account; multi-workspace account membership remains in development.

Recover interrupted setup

If tenant initialization fails, the invitation retains the original workspace details and reserves the address. Reopen the invitation to retry those details; the same workspace ID is used. If the link has expired, an operator can send it again. A successfully created account consumes the invitation. If the final response was lost, sign in with the chosen password and complete MFA rather than trying to reuse the invitation.

Revoking an incomplete invitation releases its reserved workspace address and prevents account creation. An accepted invitation cannot be revoked; suspend the created workspace through the tenant portal instead. Existing administrator-led Create & invite provisioning remains available when you want to choose workspace details yourself.

Invitation creation, sending, revocation and acceptance appear in administrative activity. The API is documented under Invite workspace owner, List workspace invitations, Resend workspace invitation, Revoke workspace invitation, Preview workspace invitation, and Accept workspace invitation.
